The standard size for a business card in the United States is typically 3.5 x 2 inches.

Bleed refers to the portion of the design that extends beyond the actual dimensions of the card. This ensures that after cutting, the card has no unprinted edges, resulting in a more professional finish.

Extend your design elements 1/8 inch beyond the edge of the card, where you want them to reach the edge of the finished card. So a 3.5" x 2" card is 3.75" x 2.25" with bleed.

For readability, use a minimum font size of 9-10 points for contact information and 7-9 points for secondary information. A clear, easy-to-read typeface is ideal.
